Conradh na gaeilge have partnered with creative ireland clare to run two competitions through irish, and open to every school in the county. The first competition gaelfhíseán na bliana asks entrants to put together a music video as gaeilge while the second comórtas ealaíne asks entrants to draw or paint a picture based on the theme 'gaeilge: the influence it has on my life/in my area'. Steps engineers week, run by the engineers ireland steps programme, promotes enginee ring to children in ireland. Steps engineers week 2022 takes place from saturday, 5 – friday, 11 march. The engineers ireland steps programme, which promotes engineering and the importance of the profession to children in ireland, is funded by the department of education and skills and industry leaders arup, epa, esb, intel and transport infrastructure ireland (tii).

It's really quite simple. Between 1st march and 31st october each year, high point ireland hosts the all-ireland hillwalking championships as four consecutive 2-month-long rounds of competition. Each round has its own real-time leader board which updates automatically when participants log visits to irish mountain summits and high points. There are 355 of these located throughout ireland, each with its own weighted point-score value. Recruiting participants and arranging teams for each community hillwalking competition is managed entirely in-house by its host organisation. To generate a real-time score in a chc, participating individuals must register for the respective round(s) of the all-ireland hillwalking championships on the peakhunter platform.

The junior version of the all ireland with categories from novice, u15 and u20. The ipf run a number of competitions during the year. The two main club competitions are the national shield competition held in november and the national champonships, held in april. In addition, there are two individual competitions, the print & projected images competition and the national nature competition. Both of these are by individual entry. Entry to both of these competitions is only via regional rounds. It is ipf policy that national panels representing ireland abroad will be picked from the top images entered in these national competitions.
