The cork university dental school and hospital welcomes four new students to the dclindent (orthodontics) programme. His is a full-time 36 month course comprising of theoretical, laboratory, clinical and research components. The student is required to accumulate 270 credits, undertake a research project and submit a thesis for the degree. The programme is approved by the irish committee for specialist training in dentistry and meets the educational requirements for the membership/fellowship in orthodontics examinations of the royal colleges.
