Make A Night of It
Posted in news on 26th february 2016
last week we ran a murder mystery dinner event in dunboyne castle for the team at brightwater recruitment.
This is the second event we’ve done with brightwater in the past few
month
s and they really are such a brilliant group to run events for. Once again everyone got really involved in both the preparations and the fun on the night. The darley suite in dunboyne castle looked fantastic on the evening with draping and blue up-lighters and balloons to reflect the company colours. Brightwater came up with the great idea of naming each table after famous gangster movies such as the godfather and carlito’s way to fit in with the mafioso murder mystery theme.

Irish aid at the department of foreign affairs and trade has been the driving force behind africa day celebrations in ireland since 2006. Initially, it worked to fund and promote a small number of events centring around culture and policy . In 2008, it expanded the profile of activities by hosting a significant family day event in dublin. This was followed by the roll-out of flagship celebratory events – in dublin and limerick – during the subsequent two years. In addition to these flagship events, irish aid supported a programme of community-based and policy-focused initiatives around the country. Over the past ten years, the national programme of events and the profile of africa day in the media has grown consistently.
Plus support ^ upstairs ^ laoise is an electro-pop artist hailing from galway, her music incorporates elements of synth, soul and alternative pop. She grew up surrounded by traditional irish music and having learnt to play the fiddle at the age of 5, she would regularly attend traditional irish sessions at her local galway pub. It was this sense of togetherness through music that made her want to pursue being a musician as a career. Taking her cues from the silky production of acts like nao, melanie martinez and skott but also deeply inspired by household names such as kate bush and david bowie, laoise has now crafted her skill to become a successful artist in her own right.
Hey! welcome to my patreon, thank you for stopping by. I make music, and i love it. But recently i've noticed today's world concentrates so much on output, and there's not as much attention given to the process of making music. For me, the process is ~hectic~ for lack of a better word: 3am voice notes, doodles, constant production changes, lyrics being ripped apart, moodboards, playlists - it never ends. So with that, i want to use this space to share it with you. As an independent artist, it warms my heart that there are people like you out here supporting my music, and i want to include you in the process just as much as the output.
